乘船渡河游览 关丹红树林公园将开放



可观赏关丹河畔景色。

位于关丹河畔的红树林公园，是座即将开放的“神秘花园”。

这座红树林公园是东海岸经济特区发展局推行的关丹水上城市计划之一，目前已经竣工，即将开放给公众进行红树林生态旅游。

关丹旅游新卖点

东海岸经济特区发展局总执行长拿督杰巴星甘说，关丹河畔位于海边河口，地理条件特殊，周遭是一片红树林。

“这是关丹的天然资源，善加利用，可打造成红树林生态旅游。

“红树林生态旅游能够引起游人的兴趣，是关丹旅游新卖点。”

他也指出，红树林公园竣工之后，将交由关丹市议会管理。

“关丹市议会的建议是游览红树林公园必须乘船到红树林公园码头，目前暂时未有陆路直通。”

他补充说，根据计划，参观红树林公园是免费的，只是船费必须缴付。

高架木板走廊方便游客 徒步观赏红树林生态

本报记者获得东海岸经济特区发展局批准后，进入红树林公园游览。

走在红树林的高架木板走廊里，环绕红树林公园一大圈，游览红树林生态。

若幸运的话，可看见红树林的水鸟和鱼类，底栖无脊椎动物、昆虫、两栖动物及爬行动物等。

因为红树林属于沼泽地带，所以需要建造木板高架，以便让游客能够徒步观赏红树林生态。

此外，还设有楼梯看台，方便游客俯视红树林生态。

公园内还设有数个亭子，供游客休息、野餐及活动等，其中一个亭子设在关丹河畔，提供游客观看关丹河畔景色。

天气放晴，林明暂摆脱水灾困境，但旅游业未復甦，街道及民宿冷清清！

　林明旅游业近年来开始兴旺，但每年雨季引发的水灾问题，及通往林明道路中断，导致当地12月至1月之间都是旅游业淡季；儘管当地目前已摆脱水灾困扰，村民日常作息开始“恢復正常”，基于碰上学生开课日，一般预料，当地旅游业须等到下月的农历新年，才开始恢復蓬勃。

　据年老村民指出，东海岸目前尚未脱离雨季，所以林明还未算“安全”；可是，即使未来数周会发生突发水灾，情况料不严重。

民宿逢新年爆满

　记者今早走访林明，发现小贩中心及大街都是林明“自己人”，一些商店也没营业，与旅游旺季情况相较下，情况显得冷清清。　

　民宿业者受询时说，自上周开始都只接获零星的散客住宿订单；上月因水灾影响，业者被迫取消所有顾客的住宿订单。

　业者说，水灾期间面对道路中断，村民坐困林明，所以村民的粮食都是勉强“刚刚好”，小贩中心也没营业，若有游客坚持要留宿林明，恐会面对饮食上的问题。

　另一方面，儘管距离农历新年尚有一个月，但部分民宿的订单，从年初二至初五之间已爆满，有意计划在农历新年期间到访林明者，须趁早向民宿预定房间。

　村长覃晓峰受询时说，儘管林明天气转晴，但彭州一些地区还淹水，让外坡人士也对林明止步，加上孩子已开课，目前可说是林明旅游业的“谷底”。

　他说，许多民宿业著接获外坡人士的来电，询问林明灾情最新情况，大部分业者都建议游客在农历新年期间，才到访林明。

水灾重创国家公园‧瓜拉登比灵渡头如死城

往国家公园的著名瓜拉登比灵（Kuala Tembeling）渡头，去年尾遭洪水肆虐后，至今仍然尚未开放，许多经退水之后遗留下的残余废物及泥泞尚未有人到来清除，而靠近渡头的数间餐馆也暂时关门，显得冷冷清清。

由旧渡头搬迁新渡头十余年来，首遭洪水波及的渡头被泛滥的河水淹至梯级入口牌楼，包括处于高势的泊车场及餐厅也遭池鱼之殃，由于瓜拉大汉国家公园里的一些基设施包括数家具规模的度假村旅馆，以及野生动物保护局各种设施遭到洪水百般的蹂躪之后，尚未及时清理及重建，游客也不敢贸然进入国家公园旅游，可见洪水的威力和破坏性，令人难以想象！

昔日光辉不再

自逾20余家传统的的河边经商的华人商店（木屋店）陆续迁出登比灵镇后，就只剩下唯一间靠向渡头的马来咖啡店及一所警亭，让人感觉犹如一个死城，昔日光辉不再，如今再遭到洪水的侵袭之下，更显得冷冷清清，来往人数，屈指可数。

Bentong-Raub road closed due to soil erosion

The Bentong-Raub stretch has been closed to all vehicles due to severe soil erosion caused by strong river currents below a bridge in Kampung Baru near Bentong town.

District police chief Superintendent Mohamad Mansor Mohamad Nor said the stretch was closed about 4.30am today as the bridge was unsafe and there were massive signs of erosion.

He advised those travelling from Bentong to Raub to use the alternative stretch (Karak Highway - Kampung Cinta Manis - Sertik/Mempaga - Lebu - Raub or Sertik - Krau - Raub).

A district Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the soil under the bridge was washed away by strong currents after the river water breached the dangerous level last night.

Detour route signs have been installed to direct traffic to use alternative roads to Raub, Lipis and Gua Musang, Kelantan.

The bridge has been the main link for residents here to travel from Ketari and Benus to Bentong town.



Sungai Bentong bridge is closed to all traffic as it is classified as unsafe after massive signs of erosions.

福隆港靠近旧铁桥处土崩， 一些石头隨着崩泥滚落地面。

连日雨水诱发地底泥土流失及山泥倾斜，劳勿(Raub)往福隆港(Fraser Hill)路发生土崩，不能通车，民众受促暂勿使用该路段。

受到连日雨水影响，地底下泥土被冲袭，往福隆港靠近旧铁桥处，目前被沙石掩盖，不能通车。

劳勿都赖区州议员锺绍安望取用该道路的民众必须注意和遵守当局设立的告示牌及指示，避以免发生不愉快事件。

“希望前往福隆港或新古毛的车辆小心，以免发生意外，尤其是晚上天色昏暗时刻，更要注意安全。”

他说，土崩地区距离新路不远，但常年受到山水冲蚀，导致山泥及石块倾泻而下。

土崩的路段至今尚未完全修复，他希望工程局尽快采取行动。

另一方面，今早劳勿区国会议员拿督阿里夫则表示，劳勿公共工程局目前已经展开维修工作。

洪水淹没文德里与明加叻区火车轨道近一周，积水开始消退时，轨道“重见天日”。

随着水灾浸坏轨道与车厢，大马铁道局可能会重新执行“东海岸火车停驶两年”计划，全面维修轨道。

这将让东海岸火车服务无限期停驶，该局允许已购买车票的顾客索回车资。

顾客可索回车资

大马铁道局已经正式通知所有车站，把火车暂停行驶信息“公告天下”，通告中并未说明火车服务何时恢复。

车站人员说，已买火车票的顾客可以索回车资或更改日期，各车站将等待总部发出现金后才退还车资给顾客，顾客可向各车站询问详情。

根据该局发出的通告，该局已在去年12月24日，既在吉兰丹州发生大水灾后宣布停止行驶东海岸的火车服务。

丹格姆布桥梁冲断

该局原定今年1月1日重新恢复服务，不料，水灾冲断吉兰丹州格姆布一座桥梁，停放在道北的火车车厢也被浸坏，造成火车服务无法恢复。

目前，该局正面对如何把该列在道北的车箱搬动到丹州以外，以便吉兰丹州以外的路线可以先开驶。

Express bus services to the east coast which were temporarily suspended from Dec 26 due to floods have been resumed.

Peninsular Malaysia Malay Express Bus Operators Association president (PEMBAWA) Tajuddin Mohd Yunus said most express bus companies had resumed routes from the capital to Kota Baru and Kuala Terengganu after floods receded.

“Even so, routes from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan and Pekan, Pahang require the use of alternative routes through Bahau, Negri Sembilan, Muadzam Shah and Rompin in Pahang because the normal routes were submerged in water,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

He said journeys to Kota Baru and Kuala Terengganu may take longer as roads in the area were still in poor condition as a result of the floods.

“For example, if a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru usually takes seven hours, it may take up to nine hours now as the bus has to go through roads which are damaged or still lightly flooded.

“Therefore, we ask passengers to be patient when using express bus services to return to their hometowns,” he said.

Tajuddin said express bus fares remained the same despite the use of longer alternative routes.

Monsoon surge to begin on Jan 7 or Jan 8: MET

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) anticipates monsoon surge to begin on Jan 7 or 8, with possible continuous heavy rainfall up to three days over certain states, especially Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.

Its director-general, Datuk Che Gayah Ismail, however, said that the exact date could only be determined two or three days before it began.

“Normally, monsoon surge occur four or five times during the monsoon season. This year, it began in November 2014 and is expected to end by March 2015,” she told Bernama today.

Che Gayah also said the department had stationed a meteorologist at the National Security Council to provide the officials with latest information on current weather phenomenon, including the monsoon surges.

“We will also update from time to time the information on our official website www.met.gov.my or on our page on Facebook and Twitter,” she said.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry has cautioned the public living in flood-prone areas to keep themselves updated on weather reports, in view of a monsoon rain predicted to hit the country on Wednesday and Thursday.

Its minister Datuk Dr Ewon Ebin in a statement today said his ministry, through the Meteorological Department, would continue to monitor weather conditions nationwide, including in Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan.

"Any updates and information regarding the latest weather will be informed to the authorities and this will then be disseminated to the masses," he said.

Ebin also advised the public not to proceed with recreational activities or water sports, after the department had issued a category two strong winds and rough seas warning that would continue until tomorrow.

The affected areas include Pahang, east Johor, Sarawak, Sabah (inlands, west coast and Kudat) and Labuan.
